"i hate going to the dentist!"

i'm due for another root canal tomorrow. to distract myself from the impending torture, i've been looking at these neat websites:

        a. felt pouches and totes, great ideas for leftover yarns, to knit
            and felt that is.

        b. look at these dye jobs! i would really like to try it.

        c. wouldn't this make for an interesting series of blog posts?

        d. speaking of which, i really enjoyed listening to this npr article
            about blogging.

        e. japan based blogger, an all around creative genius. browse her
            archives and see.

        f. a valid rant as i'm socially inept and am often guilty of it.

        g. a great tutorial for handling wool and spinning yarn.

        h. an inexpensive source for merino roving along with excellent
            customer service.

        i. last but not least, quilts! i've been drooling over her book for
months. i hope to get a quilt started in april. wanna join me?

totally random list. anyway, enjoy your dentist free weekend, everyone.

Fabulous links. I hope your root canal goes quickly and without much discomfort.

Great list! a & e were very inspirational (as are you!). I'm also guilty of f. I love g - she has one of the best sites. h - aren't they great?

And i! I signed up for a 'block of the month club' at my local quilt shop. At the end of November, I should have a quilt (sans actual quilting - haven't decided what to do about that part). This'll be my first! Fabric acquisition is addicting too!

Good links Thuy! Thanks.

Let's paint roving soon. We'll have to get the dyes from John and then we can go. And yes, I do have a ton of undyed roving.

And of course wouldn't you know that I was in two quilting shops in the past four days and so I am currently lusting after the Denyse Schmidt stuff.

Oh, thank you for all the beautiful things in this post. That sheep mug is so cute - I am speechless.

The best, though, are those quilts. Stunning and inspiring. I do so desperately want to make a quilt... have wanted to for years, but I am seriously lacking in the sewing skills. Those quilts, however, were just what I needed to see to free up my own ideas of what a quilt by me could look like. Thinking of quilting as collage changed my perspective entirely.

I want to make a quilt!
