i took that picture myself. i wish my arm was longer so i wouldn't take up so much of the shot. that's carpinteria in the distance. i'm sad it wasn't a clearer day. i took a panorama while i was up there but i won't have it spliced together until later this week. until then, i have a challenge for you:
take a panorama
holly and i are aiming to take at least one per month. but the challenge is for just one. and i've already talked the supa eggplant into doing it.
your panorama could be of anything, your office, bike route, apartment complex, knit group, etc. if you could, put yourself in the panorama. this is tricky; so far i have only managed to get my shadow in the shot.
i use photoshop to splice the images. unfortunately, i am not savvy enough to dispense any tips. as for photo hosting, try flickr. it's free and very easy to navigate.
the idea is to get you to give panoramas a try. it's such a neat concept. and easy.
join the challenge! and don't forget to share your link with me.
The new Kodak V570 has a built in panoramic stitch mode... saves a slice of the edge of your last shot so you can line it up to your next shot. I may be biased... but when I saw it work... I thought it was amazing.
