late sunday morning jg and i decided to take advantage of the clear weather before it would resume raining again. we headed over to golden gate park where jg discovered the buffalo paddock some weeks ago.

then we went over to ocean beach to check out the dunes. we parked on the residential great highway and went to get hot drinks.

then we simply crossed the super great highway to get to the dunes, where jg took this neat shot.
i'm not very tall
it was fun hiking on the dunes. there were all manners of debris hidden in the high reeds, things like disintergrating old sweaters and an empty guitar case. there was one low spot on the dunes that looked like it had just hosted an overnight party.
