...for forsaking this knit blog. it's only fitting for me to neglect this portion of schmeebot. between the home page and apad, the knit blog is effectively the middle child. my negligence is justified.
actually, let's blame it on thai an. she's the current guest blogger so she, too, should get some floggin'. let the virgin blogger have half of it.
i'm going to ease up on the finger pointing and give a shout to sara and peggy for having knitted up zeebees. check it:
sara: Hi, I just this minute finished my first zeebee hat & I love it.
It looks great and I can't wait to start knitting them in various
gauges, etc. I'm also grateful that you provided a "recipe" rather
than a pattern. Thanks!
peggy: Hi! Paintball people love this hat! I guess it keeps paint out
of their hair. Thanks for publishing the pattern!
hahahahaha. this yarn person thanks sara, peggy, and the paintball people. thanks also to the lady with the messy hair, the one who squeezed the long winded recipe out of my little head. yay!
. . .

the twist
that elbow detail happens on both sleeves of a very old jcrew sweater i'm wearing today. it looks great except it's located at the elbow, where no one could ever see it. plus it stretches awkwardly when i bend my arms. an architect must have designed this sweater: yes, it's completely impractical, but it sure looks great if you can see it .
i don't know why the awkward elbow stretching suddenly bothers me so much. when i put it on this morning i actually tried to think of ways to unravel and fix it. i must be stopped.
by the way, i've been glancing at the winter sweaters at jcrew. i get a lot of knitting ideas from them. urgh, did i just write that? anyway, take a gander when you have time. see if you would agree with me how horrible this sweater is.
have a great weekend knitting, everyone!
