i once suffered temporary blindness and bought five hanks of yarn in that awful color. i wanted to knit a brown+mint striped sweater, aka bad idea!
well, if you don't like it, dye it!

it takes four packs of lemon lime and one pack of orange kool aid for that lovely lime color. i like it!
other than playing chemist, i've been looking at a lot of artsy web sites like pluckyfluff and microrevolt. pure inspiration. this list should give you a few ideas for your next knitting or crocheting project.
