sunday jg and i spent almost the entire day in south central los angeles. we got home late in the afternoon, but there was more than enough sun left for team hike-n-bike to hit up romero canyon.
jg had a bit of gear troubles so i got a good head start on the hiking. i didn't take the camera out of the bag until i reach my usual turn around point. i took lots of pictures, not much you haven't already seen before.
deer weed
a fuzzy plant
or is it?
tiny
neat lens flare
while trying to take that picture, i took this next shot by accident. i like how it looks like i snorted a few of the anise flowers.
jg's favorite sage
yellow thistle
that hawk kept circling above me. i took a total of 40 pictures of it. it followed me down the trail for a good while. karen would say that the hawk recognized me from my previous life.
i don't think i've seen this one before
moon over flowers
honeysuckle
(not as fragrant as the garden variety)
arteries
oak tree trunk
hey, where's your helmet?!
the frowner reported that he encountered a black bear. he thought it was a giant dog until it scrambled straight up the hill side. it ran into the bushes before he could get a picture. then, when he reached camino cielo, he saw this:
the bear got lost on the way to this photo shoot
i was pretty impressed to see that this flyer is still in tact. pure genius!
