that's a hat i gave to my ma in law some four years ago. when she got sick, it became her most favorite hat. after much wear and wash, it has shrunk. this past april i got a special request for a duplicate.
the hat was returned to me for copying. the yellow dots you see are pins which i'm using to help count the rows and stitches. this is what happens when one is too lazy to take notes on what one knits.

41% wool, 33% acrylic, 16% viscose, and 10% micro-nylon
each hat takes less than two balls of this yarn. i'm using us10.5 needles so the knitting is quick. i aim to have two copies made by tomorrow to return along with the original.
