i had not received one single polaroid postcard for months. all of a sudden, i got two! one from berkeley, one from the uk. the fact that they arrived on the same day makes me suspicious; the usps is surely messing with me.
but i'm glad to see that the unsightly cardstock has ensured delivery. i need to quit my whining and get back to the business of sending polaroid postcards.

i played stand-in for my boss at a meeting today. i had to speak in front of twenty four people. i was so nervous i could hardly say my name. i kept wishing that we would have to do an emergency evacuation for the zaca fire before my turn to speak. it didn't happen.

i've had those fish, four total, for at least five years. they've survived alternating bouts of starvation and raccoon attacks. i'm always surprised to see them. indestructible fish.

i love that book. mostly because of erin's awesome interpretation of the farm animals' voices. great story just the same. highly recommended.
when i got the postcard, i did not know that andrea had also sent me the cheetahpus. along with the polaroid one step camera i had been eyeing from her collection.
